 
 On July 9, 2011 at 8:30am, we welcomed this fancy buckskin colt into our family. In honor of my mother, we chose a Native American name, Amitola Ray.
 "Amitola" is a Native American Sioux name meaning "rainbow." This name comes from a legend that says that the first colorful picture was painted on the clouds by a young Indian chief named Amitola. "Ray" has dual meanings, chosen because it is part of my mother's name, and he is a golden gift from Heaven above like a shining ray of sunshine.
